Effect: A spectator chooses a card, returns it to
the deck, which is shuffled. The magician places a packet of
cards in the spectators hand, and begins slapping the cards,
knocking them out of his hand. The remaining card is the
chosen one.
First, you must force a card on a spectator (I recommend
the Double-Cut Force). The card is returned to the deck. The
magician then scans the cards openly in front of the
spectator, apparently double checking that the card is there.
The spectator is not to reveal the card, nor make any sudden
movements or motions. Simply let the magician look. Upon
finding the card, fan out a few more (let's say five), and cut
the deck at that point. Now, the card is 6th from the top
(because we cut the deck at that point). Now, simply deal off
six cards. Have the spectator form a fist about waist-high.
Place the first card between his first and second finger. It
does not have to be in tight, but tight enough that it won't
fall out. This card is the chosen card (at least it is if you
dealt off the singly the 6 cards). Place the other cards (one
by one) in the same manner ON TOP of the chosen card. When all
is in place, tell the spectator to lightly grip the cards as
you proceed to sl! ap at them. Cards should begin to fall
away. When one card is left, have the spectator show it
around. It is the chosen card. The audience will think the
cards fall at random, but they actually slide off the bottom
card. NOTE: Remember, as with any trick, to personalize this
trick. It's VERY deceptive and EASY!
