Preparation: The first thing you need to do is
shuffle the cards in front of your spectators so they see the
cards are not arranged
The Trick: Have the spectator pick one card and let
them show it to every person in the group but you. Tell them
to memorize the card and suit. While they are showing the
card, count 7 cards off the top of the deck and hold them in
your hand. Tell them to put their card face down on the 7 card
pile of which you now have 8 on. Put this small pile on the
bottom of the deck. Show them the bottom card on the deck and
ask if it is theirs, (it won't be). Then put it face down on
the table. Now take the next card on the bottom of the deck
and place it on the top of the deck. Repeat this two more
times until you have tree cards on the table.
The Sting: Now you want to show them this card on
the bottom of the deck. it will not be theirs, but the card
behind it is. You will not put this card face down but the
card behind it. To do this you must use the "Slide Method" (gilde)
Take your ring or middle finger and push this card down and
slip their card out.
the table should look like this now: | 1 | | 2 | | 4 | | 3
|-----------this is their card
Now pick up the cards face down in this order, 1, 2, 3, 4.
You know have 4 cards in your hand theirs is not the bottom
card but once again the card behind it. Do the slide method (glide)
one more time and put their card face down on the table. Show
them the 3 remaining cards and ask them if any are theirs,
they won't be so flip the face down card over and you just
showed them their hidden card.
